Yes, today I received my dad's old mac laptop. he got it August of 05 because it doesn't have a chipset that works with his new camera and camcorder. He paid then $3400 for it but can't get any more than about $400 now, so he gave it to me. I already think it is safer for web browsing than my windoze box and my Linux side is out of order for some reason. specs are as follows: Model Name: PowerBook G4 17" Model Identifier: PowerBook5,7 Processor Name: PowerPC G4 (1.2) Processor Speed: 1.67 GHz Number Of CPUs: 1 L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB Memory: 1 GB Bus Speed: 167 MHz Boot ROM Version: 4.9.1f3 Serial Number (system): W852906BRJ3 Hardware UUID: 00000000-0000-1000-8000-001451091028 Sudden Motion Sensor: State: Enabled Version: 1.0 The thing is though that all my DVDs require either an Intel or G5 chipset, so that is not great, but I can still listen to tunes, in fact it can burn too. Speakers on either side and a fax modem, back lighted keyboard. I think it is neat machine. It has a Logitech cordless mouse, or I can use the pad. |
